Hi there
The Agile Community has created and promoted a phenomenal array of tools and processes to support the development of software by teams. The practices cover how to design and code, how to run the team, and how to manage products. The Agile project has primarily been driven by developer and product managers from the IT and Product Departments with a fairly minimal input from other support groups.
There is now an appetite on the part of business executives to scale these Agile approaches to the enterprise. Whereas previously other business functions have been involved in a minor way, scaling Agile to the enterprise will impact these functions in a major way. As such, people with experience of these other functions be needed to help form new practices. This is Agile, so having a bunch of clever IT people come up with a process will not work. These clever IT people can help facilitate the discovery of new processes, however the work needs to be done by those with experience.
A non-exhaustive list of the functions that will be impacted are:
If you have deep experience in one of these functions, we ask that you come and join the party. Help us create the organisations of the future.
Hugs and Kisses
The SAFe leadership team.
